The F-project, formerly supervised by Dr. Raffael Beier and Dr.-Ing. Katrin Gliemannm, reveals how the spatial perception and evaluation of planners are influenced by subjective perspectives and advocates for more critical self-reflection in planning. Six participants publish an article in the journal "RaumPlanung", in the category "Campus"

Abstract:

Planning is never neutral, it is shaped by personal experiences, values, and implicit assumptions
The article from the recent F-project "Planning and Dirt", supervised by Dr. Raffael Beier and Dr.-Ing. Katrin Gliemann, examines how planners evaluate urban spaces and the role their subjective perspectives play in this process.
The article particularly highlights the widespread homogeneity among planners, especially regarding academic backgrounds and origins.
It also explores idealized participatory processes and contrasts them with the actual, empirically surveyed planning realities.
