Together with Nadine Appelhans (TU Berlin) and Janek Becker (TU Dortmund), Raffael Beier (IPS) has edited a new TRIALOG special issue on reflexive research practices. In the issue, 17 authors offer very frank insights into their personal research experiences and how they have dealt with ethical issues of positionality and decolonisation in the field and in their research in general. The 13 articles are written from different perspectives and are organised into four different thematic areas: education, biographical positionality, power inequalities, and methodology. In a joint introductory article, the editors present the contributions and identify relevant cross-cutting themes that are particularly helpful for the conception of ethically responsible research in the Global South and can offer young researchers initial guidance.
The special issue is available open access, using the following link: https://www.trialog-journal.de/hefte/154-155/
